QCA is responsible for carrying out scrutiny on behalf of CCEA on a range of subjects on a twice yearly basis. Outcomes of scrutiny, along with recommendations made, are then forwarded to CCEA for action plans to be drawn up and implemented.

Self-assessment Report
CCEA is required to carry out self-assessment to evaluate its compliance with the regulations set out in the examinations Code of Practice. The aim of the self-assessment is to promote internal evaluation of the effectiveness of arrangements for the conduct of examinations. On completion of self-assessment an action plan is prepared and this is monitored to ensure implementation.
