Section 75: Northern Ireland Act 1998 - Equality Scheme
The Equality Commission has approved the Northern Ireland Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment's (CCEA) Equality Scheme. The Council intends not only to comply fully with the statutory requirements of Section 75 but also to mainstream these requirements when carrying out its statutory duties and functions. Copies of the Scheme were issued to all groups and individuals on CCEA’s consultation list.

Screening of Policies
The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) gave a commitment in its Equality Scheme to screen its policies to establish which of its policies have a significant impact on equality of opportunity and should be subject to full equality impact assessment.
The report includes conclusions reached in relation to each policy and CCEA's proposed timetable for carrying out its equality impact assessment programme.
