Entry Level ICT
Controlled tests

The Controlled Tests for Entry level ICT for submission in Summer 2007 are now available for download from www.ccea.org.uk.

Centres are reminded that candidates complete four elements for their coursework portfolio for this specification:

  • Communicating Information
  • Handling Information
  • Modelling
  • Measurement and Control
  • Use of the internet.

The work of any two of these elements is left to the choice of the candidate, with two of the remaining three set within the context of the controlled tests presented.

It is important to note that:

  • The assessment criteria for the five elements are shown in the specification. Within each element, the same criteria apply, whether the work is submitted as a controlled test or the candidate’s own choice;
  • Controlled tests should be completed in the same conditions, and with the same degree of teacher support as the rest of the portfolio.
