Please note that this theme applies to both Winter and Summer series of examinations.

Amusement games and rides for children are often found in foyers of shopping and leisure centres . These games and rides use a wide range of control systems which you are to investigate.

Your investigation should include:

Unit 1

Selection of materials, properties and processes.

Either

Electronic/ Microelectronic Systems from Unit 3 and 6.

Systems and Control
Counting circuits
Time delays
Switches and output devices
Motor control
Logic circuit
Use of a PIC.
