Increase of Examining Time for Assessment Units A2 1 and A2 2

Correspondence from a number of centres, over time, has indicated that some candidates taking the A2 1 and A2 2 examinations expressed a view that they were pressed for time to complete the paper satisfactorily.

Subsequently, for implementation in Summer 2006, the following change will be made.

Unit A2 1: Examining time increased from 1 hr 15 mins to 1 hr 30 mins.

Unit A2 2: Examining time increased from 1 hr 15 mins to 1 hr 30 mins.

The raw mark total for both papers will remain unchanged.
