GCE EXAMINATIONS SUMMER 2005
MATHEMATICS

In the examinations to be held in Summer 2005, papers for both the current mathematics specification (from September 2000) and the revised specification (from Autumn 2004) will be set.

The paper assessing Module M1 will be identical for either specification. It will be produced on pink paper.

Candidates taking the paper for modules M1 may use either the blue (for the current specification) or the pink (for the revised specification) Mathematical Formulae and Tables Booklet.

The paper assessing Module M2 will be identical for either specification. It will be produced on green paper.

Candidates taking the paper for modules M2 may use either the blue (for the current specification) or the pink (for the revised specification) Mathematical Formulae and Tables Booklet.

The paper assessing Module S1 will be identical for either specification. It will be produced on pink paper.

Candidates taking the paper for module S1 may also use either Booklet, although those completing an award under the current specification should be supplied with a blue Booklet while those starting an award under the revised specification should be supplied with a pink Booklet as different versions of the Normal Probability Table are contained in these Booklets.

Answers from either version of the Normal Probability Table, if required, will be allowed when the scripts are being marked.
