GCSE English: November Re-sit available to F Tier and H Tier candidates

 

Centres are reminded that the November sitting of GCSE English is open to both Foundation Tier and Higher Tier candidates. CCEA is required to label the papers ‘Higher Tier’ because of the range of grades available. The papers are, however, designed to be accessible to those candidates seeking to achieve a grade ‘C’, regardless of their previous tier of entry. Other candidates may hope to improve from a grade ‘B’ to a grade ‘A’; the papers are designed to take account of the needs of these pupils as well.
