The accompanying Exemplification of Standards booklet contains work produced by candidates in the first examination of CCEA’s new GCSE English Specification.

Each piece of work exemplifies the standard associated with a key grade boundary.

It is hoped that this booklet will prove helpful to you in interpreting the mark schemes for GCSE English and in illustrating the standards associated with the new specification.
