GCSE and GCE A Level Sciences Provision 2006-2009

 

GCE A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics

The subject criteria which govern these qualifications are currently under review and will be finalised in April 2006.

New specifications based on the revised subject criteria will be developed to be in centres in September 2007 for first teaching in September 2008.

 

GCSE Separate Sciences and Double Award

CCEA’s current specification for GCSE Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Double Award (modular and-non modular) will be examined for the last time in June 2010.

New specifications for Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Double Award will be issued to centres in September 2008 for first teaching in September 2009.

Between now and September 2008 centres will be kept informed of the nature of the proposed changes and will have an input into shaping these changes.
