GCSE and GCE A/AS Examinations Summer 2006 Issue of Results

Issue of Results (Hard Copy)

CCEA is pleased to extend an invitation to Principals who wish to collect GCE A/AS, GCSE and Key Skills results for their centre. If you wish to make use of this facility please complete and return the attached faxback by Friday 16th June 2006. Only those centres returning a positive response will be able to collect their results. All centres, whether collecting or not, should respond to this circular by the date indicated.

If you would prefer courier delivery, or if the issue of a particular level in GCSE/GCE is not applicable to your centre, please confirm this on the faxback and return to CCEA. Please note that courier delivery will be by 3.30pm on the day of issue to candidates.

The GCE A/AS results will be available between 10.00 am and 11.00 am on Wednesday 16th August 2006. Results must not be made available to candidates before Thursday 17th August 2006. If results are not collected they will be dispatched by CCEA to arrive in schools by 3.30 pm on the Thursday.

The GCSE results will be available between 10.00 am and 11.00 am on Monday 21st August 2006. Results must not be made available to candidates before Tuesday 22nd August 2006. If results are not collected they will be dispatched by CCEA to arrive in schools by 3.30 pm on the Tuesday.

Issue of Results (via EDI)
From 0.01 am on Wednesday 16th August 2006 the GCE A/AS results will be available through electronic transmission to all centres registered to receive them through the CLASS project. The GCSE results will be available also through electronic transmission from 0.01 on Monday 21st August 2006. Such centres must have the appropriate software installed and ready. If schools have any difficulty in EDI transfer of results, CLASS will be able to provide schools with a disc-based copy. Please contact the local CLASS implementation team and not CCEA if there are any queries about this.
