Coursework Case Study
As part of the coursework requirements for GCSE Single Award in Science, candidates must complete a case study. Titles from which teachers and candidates can choose are given below.
- Bird Flu - is it a real danger?
- Endangered species; what can be done to save them?
- Is nuclear power the way forward for our future energy needs?
- Has global warming really been caused by industrialisation?
- Microwaves: friend or foe?
- The importance of recycling
Teachers are free to devise their own case studies, the titles of which must be submitted to CCEA for approval.
Notes for Guidance and Exemplar Material, including case studies will be available in early Autumn 2006.
