Revised Lines of Development for Mathematics and Numeracy

The Revised Lines of Development have been produced to support teachers in the implementation of the curriculum. They provide a detailed line of progression in mathematics which teachers may find useful when developing their schemes of work.

The Revised Lines of Development are a tool to promote good practice in teaching and learning. While they may provide a focus for formative assessment, they should not be used for summative assessment as aspects of mathematics are frequently introduced well before mastery of them would be expected.
