Practice Papers - Irish Medium

These Transfer Tests practice materials have been translated into Irish from a commercially available package in English. They have been provided in Irish for the Irish-medium sector by agreement in order to fulfil CCEA’s commitment to support the sector in terms of materials and to help redress the dearth of commercially available support materials in Irish.

It should be pointed out that these practice materials have not been subject to the same rigorous quality assurance measures that would be applied to actual Transfer Test papers set by CCEA. Therefore, although the standard and quality of questions are generally similar to actual Transfer Test papers, they should not be taken as representative of the standards set by CCEA in terms of content and level of difficulty. The quality of the language and terminology, however, is based on CCEA’s translation policies and the Irish-medium terminology handbook produced by CCEA for Key Stage 1 & 2.
