GCE Applied ICT Information Event
We will be holding an information event for GCE Applied ICT on Wednesday 17th June at the Rosspark Hotel, Kells. This event will cover:
- Changes to the written papers at A2 in light of the 2010 award;
- The award of A* and stretch and challenge element in GCE Applied ICT; and
- Revised exemplar papers and mark schemes for units 7 and 13

GCE Case Studies
The case studies for first teaching in September 2008 for units 3, 4, 7 and 14 are available to download from the support materials section of the microsite.
GCE Applied Specifications
We will be revising our GCE Applied specifications during this academic year. This revision process will involve the following subjects: Applied Business; Applied Health and Social Care; and Applied Information and Communication Technology.
These specifications are being revised to address the issue of ‘stretch and challenge’ and the attainment of A*.
As these specifications are relatively new, the revision in Phase 1 will focus on changes to the question papers only; you will receive these in 2009. We will not, therefore, be carrying out formal consultation with teachers at this time. Phase 2 will review content, and we will keep you up-to-date with progress and development.
