Q. What are the main areas of study for Entry Level Business Studies?
A. The specification covers five themes:
- What is Business?
- Business and Its Customers;
- Producing Goods and Services;
- Money and Business; and
- Working in Business
Q. When will the moderator visit centres?
A. Moderators will contact centres between February and April to arrange the date for the moderation visit.
Q. What sample of work do centres need to forward for moderation?
A. The sample must be a cross-section of standards from the group. Take care to ensure that:
- you select work from each teaching group (unless specified otherwise in the instructions on the mark sheet);
- as far as possible, the sample of work from boys and girls (if applicable) is proportionate to your centre's entry; and
- the full range of ability is represented
Q. When do the samples have to be sent to the moderator?
A. After the teacher has assessed the work, post the selected sample so it reaches the Moderator before 1 May in the year of examination. You can submit coursework samples to the Moderator from mid-March onwards if you wish.
