Assessment Objectives

All assessment work in Entry Level Business Studies is assessed against four assessment objectives. These are divided into three skills categories. These categories and the assessment objectives appear below:

Students must demonstrate their ability to:

Knowledge and Critical Understanding	recall knowledge and critical understanding of the specification content; apply the business terms, ideas and techniques set out in the specification content in contexts that involve them working either individually or in groups and to participate in the decision-making process;
Skills of Communication and Numeracy	demonstrate and apply the skills of communication and numeracy; and
Information Technology	perform simple tasks using a word processor, databases and spreadsheets.
