GCSE in Business Studies

Our GCSE Business Studies offers a broad overview of business and presents students with a stimulating and imaginative study. Course activities and interactions with local businesses also offer students insights into, and experience in, the decision-making process faced by those in the business world.

The course encourages students to develop a knowledge and understanding of:

  • the aims of businesses;
  • the different types of businesses that exist;
  • how businesses are organised;
  • the importance of people to business;
  • the main factors that influence product development; and
  • the main methods of production; marketing; and finance and accounting.

Aimed at both young people (aged 14+) and adult learners, GCSE Business Studies provides an excellent foundation for studying the subject at GCE and beyond.
