Students must complete two controlled assessment tasks, one for Unit 2: The Construction Craft Project and one for Unit 3: Computer Aided Design in Construction. The controlled assessment tasks are each worth 30 percent of the final mark.
Teachers mark the controlled assessment tasks and we moderate them.
We issue the controlled assessment tasks in September of each year. We expect students to have their work for Units 2 and 3 ready to submit in May of Year 12.
Students must complete all their work (apart from research) under the teacher’s informal supervision. They may complete their research under limited supervision. Students have 5 hours to complete their portfolio and 20 hours to produce their craft project.
