Unit 3: Computer Aided Design in Construction
Students must prepare a portfolio of work in computer aided design (CAD). This is worth 30 percent of the final award. The teacher assesses the portfolio, and we moderate it.
Students may practise the required skills outside of the classroom environment. However, they must complete the portfolio within the classroom environment, under controlled conditions.
All construction details that students present must follow the current building regulation standards and health and safety legislation. The students' presentation of all drawings must also comply with BS1192.
