Communication is essential when interacting with others. The ability to establish relationships with others and contribute effectively as an employee demands sound communication skills. Modern technology has had a significant impact on how we communicate locally and globally but has not replaced the need for competent use of English. CCEA English is designed to help students to foster effective skills in: Reading, Writing, Talking and Listening.
Have your say in the future of GCSE. Tell us your ideas.
The UK Regulatory Authorities are finalising the revised subject criteria for GCSE English Language, English Literature and English. Thank you to those of you who sent responses to the Regulators on the draft criteria.
Once the subject criteria are agreed CCEA and the other UK Awarding Bodies will have to design their new specifications within the parameters set in these documents.
There will be a number of ways in the new year that you can get involved in the consultation on the new specifications.
Before we start this process we would like to gather ideas of good practice e.g tasks that work well, engaging texts, and so on.
Please email us on englishfeedback@ccea.org.uk and tell us what has worked well with your students.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you.
