Specification
There are three assessment objectives for GCSE Applied Science (Double Award).
Students must:
| A01: | show knowledge and understanding of facts, principles, procedures and practical techniques, and the use made of science by individuals and organisations in modern society; |
| A02: | apply their knowledge, skills and understanding by explaining and interpreting data in terms of scientific principles and concepts, carrying out calculations, and applying principles and concepts to unfamiliar situations; and |
| A03: | carry out practical tasks, plan and carry out investigations using safe and appropriate strategies, use appropriate equipment and procedures to gather, record and analyse relevant data, evaluate data and methods and present their conclusions. |
