Specification

In Entry Level Science, students are assessed against seven assessment objectives.

Students must:

  1. carry out experimental and investigative work in which they plan, make measurements and observations, analyse and evaluate evidence;
  2. communicate scientific observations and ideas using appropriate vocabulary;
  3. make informed judgements about scientific information;
  4. apply scientific principles and knowledge to familiar and unfamiliar situations;
  5. develop abilities and skills that encourage safe practice;
  6. recall, understand, use and apply scientific knowledge set out in the units studied; and
  7. develop basic numeric skills to process scientific data.
