Revised GCE Assessment Objectives

In the revised GCE Government and Politics specification, students are assessed against three assessment objectives. Students must be able to:

A01:

demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the relevant institutions, processes, political concepts, theories and debates;

A02:

analyse and evaluate political information, arguments and explanations, and identify parallels, connections, similarities and differences between aspects of the political systems studied; and

A03:

construct and communicate coherent arguments making use of a range of appropriate political vocabulary.
