Unit 1:
Study In-Depth
Three written tasks
  • Set by us.
  • Duration of 40 minutes each.

 

 

One end-of-unit oral test

  • Set by the teacher
  • Duration of 10 minutes
  • Students must discuss a number of photographs and demonstrate their ability to recall information and show understanding.
  • Students must also respond to additional stimulus material related to the unit and use this to explain change and its causes and effects.

Unit 2: Outline/ Thematic Study

Three written tasks
  • Set by us.
  • Duration of 40 minutes each.

Unit 3: A Further Study in Depth or Outline/ Thematic Study

Two written tasks

  • Set by the teacher. Alternately, teachers may use the assessment tasks set by us.
  • Duration of 40 minutes each.

 

 

A short talk

  • Set by teacher
  • Students must agree a topic with their teacher, prepare a plan, deliver a short talk on the topic (approximately two minutes long), and answer at least two questions from the class/teacher.
