Examinations
Unit 2 is an outline study of The Cold War. The exam lasts 1 hour 15 minutes and is worth 25 percent of the final award. This paper requires students to use and evaluate a range of source material.
The paper is set out in two sections:
Section A
Here, students must use three sources related to the Cold War and respond to one four-part question with an incline of difficulty.
Section B
Here, more extended writing is required. Students must answer one question from a choice of three. In the Foundation paper, we provide additional support for students by including a writing frame and identifying points they should cover in their answer.
