GCE in History of Art and Design

CCEA’s History of Art and Design presents students with a proven, versatile and extensively supported learning opportunity. One of only two such GCE specifications available in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, it allows teachers to construct courses from a broad choice of art historical eras, centres and movements – from the art and architecture of Ancient Greece and Rome, and Renaissance Italy, through to the art, architecture, craft and design of Modernist Europe and North America.

Our students enjoy how wide-ranging and flexible the course is and how well it links with other subjects. They have plenty of opportunity to develop their own ideas and opinions. I also found the advice and support from CCEA very helpful.”
