There are two examinations for GCSE Hospitality. They last 1 hour 30 minutes and are each worth 20 percent of the final award. We set and mark the exams.
Paper 1 tests students on Unit 1: Hospitality Industry. Students must respond to short answer, structured and extended writing questions. All questions are compulsory. Paper 1 is available in January and summer.
Paper 2 tests students on Unit 2: Reception and Accommodation. It is based on a pre-released case study that focuses on a hospitality scenario. The pre-released materials are available eight weeks before the date of the exam.
