Coursework - Short Course
Coursework Record Booklet (G53)
(PDF), Last Updated: 22 September 2009
GCSE ICT coursework enables students to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and skills in ICT without the limitations imposed by formal examinations. In particular, coursework provides students with opportunities to:
- select from and use a range of ICT applications;
- use ICT to support learning in other subjects; and
- be discerning users of information obtained from a variety of electronic sources.
Some of the assignments provide students with the opportunity to incorporate ICT related work that they are carrying out in other subjects.
For the short course, students must complete four assignments. Assignments B1, B2 and B3 are compulsory. Students must also complete one assignment from A1, A2 and A3.
