The Primary ICT Accreditation Scheme is a voluntary scheme for pupils at Key Stages 1 and 2. It will provide you with a framework to develop, enhance and assess your pupils’ ICT skills. At the end of each key stage, pupils will be able to be awarded with a certificate detailing their level of ICT competence. CCEA will then accredit your school for being able to effectively assess using the UICT Levels of Progression.
CCEA encourages schools to get involved in this scheme in anticipation of the statutory requirement to assess UICT from 2013/14 onwards. The scheme will allow school to develop an understanding of the Levels of Progression for Using ICT and UICT tasks prior to their statutory use.
