UICT Tasks
A set of tasks is available online to support you in your assessment of pupils’ UICT skills. You can select tasks that are appropriate to work you are currently doing across the curriculum. Many of these tasks are generic and can be used in any curricular context. There are over 60 tasks available which should meet the requirements of any ICT activity you wish to carry out.
If, however, you decide to design your own task or adapt an existing CCEA task you can do so, using the 'Task Template' available to download here. These tasks should be submitted to CCEA for approval prior to using as part of an assessment.

The tasks that are provided set out the level(s) of UICT addressed, the ‘E’s that may be covered and the associated Desirable Features. They also include Teacher Notes and Pupil Notes but teachers can decide if it is appropriate to give the Pupil Notes to their pupils or whether to explain verbally what they need to do.
In the Online Task Library on this website, samples of pupils’ work completed for the tasks, along with Teachers’ Commentaries, are available. The work samples and commentaries have been provided by schools in Northern Ireland. This will be updated periodically as we continue to work with schools.
Visit the Task Library. You will need your school's DE Number to access it.
Note: The tasks that you use must be from this current ICT Accreditation Scheme. The tasks from the previous IT Scheme are no longer up-to-date and do not take account of the requirements of the Levels of Progression.
