GCSE in irish Language

This level is designed to promote continuity, coherence and progression within the study of Irish. The Specification builds upon the knowledge, understanding and skills developed within the Key Stage 3 Common Curriculum Programme of Study for Modern Languages.

A course based on this Specification should help to facilitate the study of Irish at a more advanced level, for example, GCE Advanced Subsidiary and GCE Advanced Level in Irish

It is hoped that a course based on this Specification should give students the opportunities to develop the ability to communicate effectively in Irish, through both the spoken and written word, using a range of vocabulary and structures.
