A GCSE Short Course in Irish offers learners the option to study approximately half the content of a GCSE full course over a period of one year or two years, as appropriate. However this is not akin to half the level of difficulty or half the amount of grammar and structures nor half the vocabulary. The short course also offers an alternative approach in both Speaking and Writing. It has also been designed to allow learners who are embarking upon the study of Irish for the first time.
