Assessment Objectives

Our GCE Music qualification is made up of two parts: AS and A2. The AS can be taken as a ‘stand-alone’ qualification without progresson to A2. However, to gain a full GCE, students must complete both parts of the course.

The specification has a modular structure. Students must study one module at AS and a further module at A2. The modules are listed below:

AS: Making and Responding to Music with Understanding 1; and
A2: Making and Responding to Music with Understanding 2.
