Students must complete two controlled assessment tasks:
- an investigative study; and
- a practical riding activity.
We set the controlled assessment tasks. The teacher marks the tasks and we moderate them. They are each worth 30 percent of the final award. Students must carry out both tasks under controlled conditions.
