Structured Assignment
In the structured assessment, students are presented with various stimulus materials and must answer questions about a given topic. The stimulus material must be different from that used in the oral assessment. Examples of stimulus materials include:
- pictures;
- photographs;
- a piece of text;
- a piece of music;
- visiting speakers;
- artefacts;
- a passage read to students; and/or
- a video.
Students are assessed on their ability to answer the questions showing knowledge and understanding of the topic being investigated. Students are also expected to evaluate the material and draw their own conclusions.
The structured assignment emphasises the contemporary nature of religion. This should be reflected in both the stimulus material used and the questions asked.
More information on the structured assignment can be found in the full specification.
