This level is designed to promote continuity, coherence and progression within the study of Spanish. The Specification builds upon the knowledge, understanding and skills developed within the Key Stage 3 Common Curriculum Programme of Study for Modern Languages.
A course based on this Specification should help to facilitate the study of Spanish at a more advanced level, for example, GCE Advanced Subsidiary and GCE Advanced Level in Spanish
It is hoped that a course based on this Specification should give students the opportunities to develop the ability to communicate effectively in Spanish, through both the spoken and written word, using a range of vocabulary and structures.
