Entry Level Technology and Design
In Entry Level Technology and Design, students consider the needs and opportunities for technological advances and the influence of technology on society.
Through designing and making their own products, students:
- identify and solve real-life problems;
- develop practical technological skills;
- learn how to relate these skills to industrial practices;
- enhance their capacity for imaginative and innovative thinking, creativity and independence; and
- develop confidence as they learn how to modify and improve their product.
We’ve designed this specification jointly with the WJEC in Wales to provide a clear line of progression to GCSE and equivalent qualifications in the same or related subjects.
