Assessment

In GCE Technology and Design, we assess students against two assessment objectives. These are the same at both the AS and A2 levels. Each objective is described below in more detail.

AO1:

Students must:

demonstrate specific knowledge and understanding and be able to apply that knowledge and understanding in combination with appropriate skills in their designing; and
communicate ideas and outcomes and demonstrate strategies for evaluation.

AO2:

Students must:

be able to demonstrate and apply skills, knowledge and understanding of relevant materials, processes and techniques, and use materials and equipmentto produce suitable and appropriate outcomes; and

communicate ideas and outcomes and demonstrate strategies for evaluation.
