Examinations
Students must complete two written examinations for GCSE Technology and Design. Each exam lasts one hour and is worth 20 percent of the final award. Paper 1 tests students' knowledge and understanding of Unit 1: Technology and Design Core and Paper 2 tests their knowledge of either Unit 2: Systems and Control or Unit 3: Product Design (depending on which unit the student has studied).
We set and mark the exam. It is available in summer only.
For more information, see the specification.
