Global Entrepreneurship Week (17 – 21 November)
The Big Idea, supported by Invest NI, is Northern Ireland’s Flagship event designed to inspire, connect, inform, mentor and engage the next generation of entrepreneurs during Global Entrepreneurship Week (17 – 21 November). The Week, the first of its kind, aims to unleash young people’s enterprising ideas and address some of society’s biggest issues, from poverty reduction through to climate change. More than 70 countries worldwide are currently recruiting partners and co-ordinating related activities for the Week.
The programme in Northern Ireland challenges young people to come up with creative business solutions to improve their place of learning, business or local community in some way. The competition crosses five sectors; primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities and those outside of formal education.
So if your school has Big Ideas, we want to hear about them, we even want to give you £5000 to fund them! The application couldn’t be easier, simply log on to www.thebigidea-ni.com where you can read even more about this truly unique initiative.
Deadline for all applications is Friday 24th October.
