Computer-Based Assessment - update for Primary School Principals
Wednesday 14th December 2011
In November CCEA wrote to primary school principals on arrangements for this term’s InCAS assessments. At that time we reported that, with the contract with CEM (University of Durham) coming to an end, two new providers have been identified for numeracy and literacy computer-based assessments.
Information has now issued to principals on when the InCAS software will cease to be available for use in schools; accessing existing InCAS pupil outcomes; and what to do if schools want to continue to use InCAS. There is also initial information about the support planned for the introduction of the incoming computer-based assessments in the autumn term of 2012.
You can read full information on this and read the latest FAQs on the NI Curriculum site.
