EXAMS CHIEF WISHES STUDENTS EVERY SUCCESS
As the examinations season moves into top gear this week, Gavin Boyd, Chief Executive of Northern Irelands awarding body, the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) has sent a good luck message to local students sitting GCSE and GCE examinations:
On behalf of all the staff at CCEA, I would like to wish you every success in the days ahead. I hope that all your hard work will be rewarded, said Mr Boyd.
Mr Boyd also had words of reassurance and encouragement:
The challenge of so many examinations over such a short period can seem daunting, but there are good reasons why you should approach the coming weeks with confidence:
- in Northern Ireland we are lucky to have some of the best and most
committed teachers anywhere your teachers will have used all their
expertise and experience to make sure you are well prepared;
- at CCEA, we will reward you for what you know, not punish you for
what you dont; and
- we do our best to set challenging and fair papers if you feel that this is not the case, make sure to let your teachers know they will take the matter up with us.
And finally, when all your exams are finished have a great Summer break!
