UPDATE FROM CCEA ON POSSIBLE EXAM DISRUPTION
Northern Ireland's examinations body, the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) has issued an update on the extent of disruption to students sitting GCE A/AS examinations today.
A spokesman for CCEA commented:
"We've kept in touch with schools and colleges in the Belfast area throughout the day. At this point we have not been made aware of any students who missed examinations due to the disruption. CCEA will continue to monitor the situation carefully. As ever, our primary concern is for the fair treatment of each student sitting these important exams. We would encourage schools and colleges who have any concerns on this matter to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
