Ready, Set, Go – Maths!

CCEA launches new learning resource for Primary Mathematics

The Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA) today launched a new Primary Maths resource Measures, Shape & Space, and Visual Representation. This resource is an extension to the teachers’ handbook Ready, Set, Go – Maths!

Speaking at the launch, Carmel Gallagher, Curriculum and Assessment Manager CCEA, commented:

“Ready Set Go - Maths is a wonderful world-class resource that teachers have found to be extremely beneficial in ensuring children’s early experiences of mathematics are fun and enjoyable. Developed by Eunice Pitt, with the assistance of the staff and pupils of Belmont Primary School this resource is a welcome addition.

The resource has been published by CCEA and now completes this early years mathematics package. It will be used by Numeracy Officers from the five Education and Library Boards and teachers across NI to ensure that young children in NI have fun while learning maths.”

Ready, Set, Go – Maths, Measures, Shape & Space, and Visual Representation will now be made available for use in all primary schools in Northern Ireland .
