CCEA’s Celebrating Excellence Awards mark the outstanding achievements of forty-one young people who achieved overall first place in various subjects in CCEA’s Summer 2007 A level examinations.

David McKee, Chairman of CCEA, had these words of encouragement for the students:

It is an honour for me to present you with these awards today. The determination and strength that you have shown is remarkable, and it has paid off. You set your goals and you have exceeded them. That is what success is all about.

You have achieved top marks in Northern Ireland, and Northern Ireland is the top performing region in the UK. This is tremendous and you should be extremely proud.

And remember, this is just the beginning for you. Your achievements to date should fill you with confidence and I wish you the best of luck in your future studies and careers.
