Spec changes... CCEA are changing their subject specifications
Accreditation
Ofqual (in England), DCELLS (in Wales) and CCEA (in Northern Ireland) are the regulatory bodies who, together, produce the criteria against which specifications are accredited.
- Each awarding body must revise and develop their specifications within this common framework, which covers:
- the assessment objectives;
- the nature and scope of minimum content; and
- the scheme of assessment and grade descriptors.
The accreditation process ensures equality in demand and standards across awarding bodies. The aim is to ensure that, regardless of which awarding body a candidate is examined by, their achievements are the same.
You can be assured that CCEA places the same challenges and demands on your learners as each of the other awarding bodies.
